Block Island Engagement: Mike & Hannah

I had the honor of capturing this sweet proposal, along with some beautiful sunrise engagement photos for my dear sister. Myself, Mike, and Hannah's friends all had to put in a bit of effort to convince her that an engagement in Block Island just wasn't in the cards for various reasons. Hannah told me that she lost all hope that it might happen when I told her to not bother with a manicure for our vacation (worth it for the sweet surprise!) Once we were on the island, it was easy to convince her that I wanted to do a spontaneous sunrise photoshoot with her, Mike and my husband. Our excuse for wanting anniversary photos on the island worked like a charm. Mike & Hannah rented a moped the night before and were excited to get out on the island early in the morning before the crowds, so convincing her to do sunrise was easy. Mike & Hannah ventured down the beach as I pretended to format my memory card/switch lenses, when in reality I was creeping behind them from a distance, waiting for him to pop the question. 

Her face really says it all. She was shocked to the point of thinking that she was dreaming and had yet to be woken up for the sunrise shoot! After we took some photos they spent a romantic morning together exploring the island on their moped (I included a couple of those photos). I am so happy that we got to capture these special moments for my sister and future brother in law! They have such an adventure ahead of them; it is a true blessing to pray for and support them along the way. Congratulations on your engagement Hannah & Mike! We love you both!
